‘Here’s to the happy couple!’: AP Research students marry their research topics

Mr. Goins’s AP Research students married the topics they will be researching for the year by conducting wedding vows.

Mr. Ronald Goins’s AP Research participated in the annual wedding vows in which students marry the topics they will be researching for the school year.

Students gave speeches with promises of commitment and love to convey their interests in studying their chosen topics.

AP Research is a part of College Board’s AP Capstone program which requires a three or higher on AP Research, AP Seminar and four additional AP classes to receive the Capstone diploma.

By choosing research topics of their own and conducting scientific research, students acquire academic research skills beneficial for college.

Ani Tutunjyan the Executive Editor and Print Editor-in-Chief for The Mirror. She joined the program in her freshman year as a Current Events writer and she is now in her fourth year of publication as a senior. Ani has won a number of regional and national awards for her News and Features writing. Outside of journalism, she is involved in TASSEL Cambodia and Operation Period. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and cooking.  She would love to go to Italy to experience the rich history and beautiful architecture. Ani intends to major in law or journalism when she applies to colleges this fall.
