Bottom line | The varsity football team had their first playoff game against The Contreras High School Cobras on Friday Nov. 9, winning a score of 31- 6.

- Senior running back and receiver Marlon Figueroa (#11) made a 40 yard rushing touchdown
- Junior quarterback Carlos Herrera (#7) made a rush towards the Cobras, gaining 5 yards
- Junior middle linebacker Luis Giron (#30) took a hit to the head in the middle of a play and returned to the field the next quarter
- Figueroa showed his amazing skills as a running back and scored an impressive 75 yard rushing touchdown
What’s next | The Wolves next mission is to go against the Taft High School Toreadors, playing at their home field on Friday, Nov.15.
Team thoughts | “We came off strong offensively,” junior middle linebacker Abraham Ceja said. “It took us a little bit to lock in on defense but we came together and played as one.”
Our thoughts | Although there was a head injury and other minor injuries the Wolves continued to push through to get their first win in the playoff season.
