Kimberly Salazar, a junior, is a photographer for The Mirror with a passion for capturing candid moments and nature shots. When she’s not behind the camera, Salazar enjoys hiking, visiting the beach, and exploring local parks, always on the lookout for the perfect landscape to photograph. She’s an avid fan of pop and rock music and finds inspiration in the lyrics of her favorite bands, such as Twenty Øne Piløts and Deftones. Outside of photography, Kimberly is deeply committed to environmental causes like volunteering at beach clean-ups. After high school, she wishes to attend Pepperdine University simply because it is next to the ocean side, invoking her love for nature and the beach. Her dream destination is San Francisco, where she hopes to capture the city’s unique, natural beauty through her lens.
