Zendaya and Tom Holland Actually Pulled It Off
Zendaya and Tom Holland got married and somehow nobody knew until March . The news dropped when Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach spilled it on the red carpet. Someone asked about wedding plans. His response: “The wedding has already happened. You missed it.” There were no magazine deals, no Instagram posts, just guests who actually kept quiet. Zendaya’s mom basically confirmed it by reposting the interview with a laughing emoji. They met filming Spider-Man in 2016. They finally admitted they were dating in 2021. Zendaya showed up to the Golden Globes in Jan. 2025 with a massive ring, so everyone knew they were engaged. But the wedding had zero hints. Now they’re both in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey this summer. Holland also told Men’s Health he wants to quit acting once he has kids. “Golf and dad” were his exact words. Most celebrities turn their weddings into content. These two actually kept something private.
Nobody Knows Who’s Winning the Oscars This Year
Predicting the 2026 Oscars is basically impossible. The whole season has been weird. At the Actor Awards, previously known as SAG, Sinners took home Best Cast and Best Actor. Michael B. Jordan won for playing twins. That’s surprising because Timothée Chalamet had already won at the Globes and Critics Choice. Everyone thought he had it locked. The Actor Awards usually predict Oscar winners pretty well. So now Jordan’s the frontrunner. Jessie Buckley is probably winning Best Actress for Hamnet. She’s swept everything so far. The supporting categories are a mess though. A different person wins every time. Oscar night could actually be exciting. There’s a new category this year: Best Casting. First time ever. Francine Maisler from Sinners will likely win. Whatever wins influences what gets made next. If Sinners keeps winning, maybe studios will take more risks on original movies instead of reboots.
Streaming Is Getting Expensive
Netflix and Disney+ don’t just want subscribers anymore. They want profitable subscribers. Their new strategy is spending insane money on a few huge projects instead of hundreds of smaller ones. The Odyssey cost over $200 million. It’s getting a theatrical release first, then streaming. That’s rare now. Most stuff goes straight to your laptop. There’s also this new thing where actors do movies and TV and nobody cares. Michael B. Jordan has an HBO show and just won a major film award. Timothée Chalamet bounces between indie films and Dune. Zendaya went from Disney Channel to Euphoria to blockbusters. The problem is last year had 600+ original shows. Nobody can watch all that. Good stuff gets buried. You scroll for twenty minutes, watch nothing, then rewatch The Office. People might get tired of paying for six different services. We’ll see.
