VNHS Dance Program sells out a hit show

In the semiannual dance show, students across all grades and levels were given the chance to showcase what their class has been working on all semester.

On Nov. 30, Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, the VNHS Dance Program, led by teachers Diane Hula and Ressa Partida, put on their semiannual dance show. The shows have different themes each time around, and this time, the show, called “Of Gods and Mortals,” centered around classic Greek mythology Stories.

All levels and dancers from Dance Company were given the chance to perform. Tying in with the semester’s Greek mythology theme, anchored by the fall play “The Iliad, the Odyssey, and All of Greek Mythology in 99 Minutes or Less,” the dance show was a fabulous addition to the semester’s list of shows.

Selling out the auditorium, students and staff alike would agree that the dance company, and stage crew such as student lighting designer Ethan Rodda, truly outdid themselves this time around, leaving audiences wanting more and excited for the yet-to-be-announced spring dance show this May.
