Laila Murra, a freshman, is on the staff of The Mirror, the award-winning student newspaper and website at Van Nuys High School in Los Angeles. For fun, she likes to listen to music, hike, participate in photography, work out, play volleyball and hang out with friends and family. She is a player on the Van Nuys High School junior varsity volleyball team and is an outside hitter. Murra often listens to Daniel Caesar and specifically likes the song “Superpowers” in the “NEVER ENOUGH” album. In addition, she is of Syrian nationality and wishes to be able to go to Syria for the first time to see what her parents grew up around and how they lived. She looks forward to graduating and moving on to her undergraduate degree and then medical school to go into the surgical field.
