Freddy Escobar, a freshman, is on the staff of The Mirror, the award-winning student newspaper and website at Van Nuys High School in Los Angeles. He is a first-time staff writer for the Sports section. In his free time, Escobar loves to go to the gym, play football and spend time with family. His favorite movie is “Spider-Man” because it’s a core childhood memory with him and his family. Escobar’s most intense interest is going to the gym because it helps him clear his mind. Not only has he found a natural stress reliever, but he also gets health benefits from it. He wants to travel to many places, but one that stands out the most is Japan because of the culture. After graduation, Escobar wants to attend trade school to become an electrician.
