School Spirit Shines Despite Dance Cancellation

Students don creative outfits for daily challenges

TRUTH MATTERS… Donate to support excellence in student journalism

In anticipation of the Spring Fling Dance, which has now been canceled, ASB organized a spirit week for students to show off their school spirit.

Throughout the week, students were seen with enthusiastic outfits to match the silly themes, such as:

Disney Day

On Monday, students were encouraged to wear Disney attire. Many wore graphic design t-shirts, dresses representing the princesses and even a Mr. Potato Head blow up costume.

Rhyme Without Reason

Tuesday was Rhyme Without Reason. Pairs found two words that rhyme but don’t make sense together. Many came in pairs of two and wore creative outfits.

Wacky Wednesday

Wacky Wednesday had students dress as their class. Freshmen were to resemble babies, Sophomores toddlers, Juniors dressed as adults and Seniors as senior citizens. Students followed the theme with elaborate outfits.

Bikers Vs Surfers

Bikers versus Surfers took place on Thursday with students choosing between board shorts and flip flops to highlight the surfers and leather jackets and bandanas to represent the Bikers.

Color Wars

The last day of spirit week was a war between the classes. Freshmen wore white, Sophomores gray, Juniors black and Seniors red.

  • Starting off with a blow! Seniors William Schneider and Hudson Mirsky throw blows at each other dressed in their Disney characters.

  • Thinking out of the box! Seniors Joshua Choondakaran and John Maserati show up as the ill and chill duo to rhyme.

  • With outfits full of details, seniors Sebastian Spiridon, Aldo Jimenez, and Hudson Mirsky show up as senior citizens for wacky Wednesday.

  • Consecutive duo! Seniors Hudson Mirsky and William Schneider keep up the school spirit by using one another as props.

  • Rev your engines Senior Dhara Patel shows off her outfit to represent the bikers.

  • Finally Friday Seniors Sofia Bateman, Mayya Golub, and Sydney Turner show up in red to show some support to the seniors.
