BOYS BASKETBALL: Girls Basketball: Speedy offensive tempo outpaces the Cougars

The Van Nuys Girls Basketball enter the final stretch of the season as they faced off Kennedy on Wednesday, Jan.17.

The girls started off the game strong with their defense. The wing defenders repeatedly stole the ball from the Cougars, implementing a 2-3 zone. They knocked down jumper after jumper which was crucial in generating their offense. The Wolves sealed the game as they accumulated an abundance of fastbreak points, leaving Kennedy in the dust.

The backcourt tandem of Ethan Quiambao and Winborn led the Wolves to victory against South East. Winborn exploded with 44 points, as Quiambao produced on both ends with 10 points and 5 steals.

Final Score: 57-26
