As the United States makes a change in power, the U.S. citizens bid farewell to Democrat former President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris–  welcoming the 47th president, Donald Trump.

The new administration took office on January 20, 2025. Trump’s inauguration included many notable people, such as Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk.

Within three days of being in office, promises President Trump made during his campaign have already been kept.  The same day he entered office, President Trump signed executive orders that range from immigration regulations to renaming the Gulf of Mexico. In addition, he signed an executive order aiming to end birthright citizenship. As a result, many lawsuits have been filed against the order, given it’s a constitutional right.

With his kept promises lie numerous promises that have yet to see any recognition, including giving police “immunity,” lowering house, grocery and gasoline prices, making in vitro fertilization (IVF) fully covered for all Americans along with numerous other remarks.

The main points of his inauguration address were preventing immigrants from entering the US, increasing oil drilling to decrease gas prices and pardoning participants from the Jan. 6 riots.

The extent of his authority and promises will be seen in the coming years.
