❑ PHOTO STORY | The EduCare program held a pumpkin-painting competition after school on Oct. 26. With 150 pumpkins to choose from, two hours and a variety of different paints, lots of students entered the contest.
RAIN RAIN GO AWAY: Amidst a sudden, heavy downpour, Senior Angela Proca tries to stay dry under the temporary tents in front of the school cafeteria on Oct. 25. The sudden storm brought brief periods of heavy rain, thunder and even occasional lightning, after a long spell of dry weather. Even though the rain was welcome, it did little to alleviate Southern Californias ongoing historic drought, the longest in 1,200 years.
