Van Nuys Gets Pulverized

October 31, 2017

FOOTBALL: Both Varsity and JV gets shut down, for their offense was nonexistent.

Van Nuys faced off against San Fernando on Friday, Oct.27.

The JV boys would have a lackluster day as both their offensive and defensive game were nonexistent. The defense was exploited constantly as the Tigers receivers and running backs marched their way through. San Fernando would execute in the red zone continuously as Van Nuys struggled moving the ball whether on the ground or the air. The Tigers would blowout Van Nuys 57-0.

Right out the gates the Tigers were on a roll as they dominated with their passing. San Fernando dissected the secondary with ease as they completed pass after pass. Resulting in a mixture of rushing and passing touchdowns. Culminating with a 50 yard passing touchdown that would put Van Nuys in a 42-0 hole by halftime. In the second half Van Nuys was ineffective in their run game as San Fernando anticipated their every move. Numerous misconnections and dropped passes prevented Van Nuys from advancing the field. Despite a late forced fumble in the third, Van Nuys were unable to convert as San Fernando would add onto their lead in the fourth quarter.

Final Score: 51-0

NEXT GAME : Van Nuys vs Reseda on Friday, Nov. 3rd at 7:00 pm.
