A Bitter End To The Season Finale

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Issues on receive and passing led to the downfall for Varsity and JV
The Van Nuys Volleyball Girls traveled to Sylmar for their final season game of the year on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
The JV girls pounced on the Spartans early in the first set. The Wolves mixed up offense with tips and cross court hits which propelled them to a first set victory. Thing quickly changed as the Spartans regained their composure. Numerous receive errors and miscommunication amongst the team allowed Sylmar to win the next two sets.
Varsity was unable to save the tips that were thrown at them from the start. The Wolves miscommunicated at the seams which allowed the Spartans to throw them off their rhythm for the remainder of the match. At some stretches of the match, Van Nuys would make a mini run but were ultimately swept.
Final Score: 25-19, 25-18, 25-11
