GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Varsity unable to stop the Eagles; JV falls short in two set grudge match
Van Nuys looked to snap their losing streak as they face Eagle Rock on Wednesday, Sept.27.
Struggling on receive from the start, the JV Girls trailed 11-6. Led by #2 Jackie Buenaventura the Wolves rallied back, but ultimately lost 25-20. Issues on serve receive would continue on the second set, as Van Nuys JV loses 25-18.
Throughout the match, the Varsity Girls were inconsistent in their passing and receive. With the inability to block the pin hitters, Eagle Rock generated points from their right and outside hitters throughout the match. Although the Wolves showed glimpses of potential comeback, they were unable to sustain the momentum as they lost in three straight sets.
Final Score: 25-14, 25-10, 25-17
