Peter Parker is swinging back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU.)

After the devastating breakup of Sony and Marvel/ Disney in August, the parent companies of Spiderman have decided to work together once again for another film that is a part of the “Spiderman” series.

Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, has recently announced that Sony and Marvel Disney will be collaborating to bring Spiderman back for another movie. The new Spiderman film, starring Tom Holland, will be released on July 16, 2021.

Feige also foreshadowed a possible cameo of Spiderman in an upcoming MCU film.

In the past, Sony and Marvel/ Disney have produced ”Spiderman: Homecoming” and the sequel “Spiderman: Far from Home.”

During the summer, the two companies called off their arrangement of working together in the Spiderman series due to a financial disagreement. Sony bought the rights to film Spiderman in 1985 and has since been producing films on Peter Parker’s life. On the other hand, the Homecoming series has been produced by both companies.

The canceled arrangement had signified the end of Spiderman and his presence in the MCU, leaving fans devastated. With the Avengers series over, the superhero would have been lost.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is a franchise of the fictional universe where the superheroes live in. The MCU owns all Marvel-related productions including movies, comics, and other films.

Fans are thrilled about the continuation of the Spiderman series. “It’s good that Spiderman is back in the MCU. The Amazing Spider Man movies that were a standalone production of Sony weren’t that good. Tom Holland is a better fit and the Homecoming series is better,” said Julissa Martinez, a junior.
