While life keeps them apart, love pulls them close.

“Five Feet Apart” is an upcoming romantic film that will premiere in theaters on March 22, 2019.

The teaser previews the romance between two teenagers, Stella and Will, who are diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a chronic genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and breathing difficulty over time. Unlike other teenagers, their lives are restrained with medications and strict rules. Despite their romantic chemistry, they must follow hospital protocol and remain within five feet away from each other to avoid catching each other’s bacteria. People with cystic fibrosis are susceptible to cross contamination of different bacterias with another cystic fibrosis patient. However, these bacterias are innocuous to those who don’t carry cystic fibrosis.

Directed by Justin Baldoni, who is known for his works on “My Last Days,” the film stars Haley Lu Richardson as Stella, Cole Sprouse as Will Newman, Moises Arias as Poe, Kimberly Hebert Gregory as Nurse Barb and Parminder Nagra as Dr. Noor Hami.
