Coming off of a stinging shutout to begin the season, the Varsity Football Team played their second game of the season on Friday, Aug. 24 at Poly High School.

The Wolves were unable to produce much offense against the Parrots’ defense as they trailed 22-0 by the end of the first half.

Their only shining moment in the first half would be a forced fumble by Jetiya Chuayjarernsook which was recovered by Timothy Do.

In the third quarter, the Parrots struck again, resulting in a 29-0 advantage. The Wolves’ offense remained stagnant as they were unable to enter the red zone throughout the remainder of the third quarter.

The Wolves fortunes changed some as a stellar block punt by Andre Jackson and recovery by Joseph Hernandez allowed the Wolves to regain a well-needed possession.

The offense finally heated up in the fourth, as Quarterback Kenny Fields connect with Jonathan Phosri twice to score two touchdowns and trim the deficit.

Despite holding the Parrots to a scoreless fourth quarter, the Wolves ultimately fell short in their comeback aspirations.

Final Score: 29-14
