The Boys Soccer Team visited Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the playoffs on Thursday, Feb.16.

In the beginning of the match both teams were off to a strong start as they battled for the ball. The Cavaliers took the advantage on a counterplay as they scored on a power shot. By the end of the half, Van Nuys misconverted on three shots and were in a score deficit. In the second half Van Nuys lost their offensive momentum as their passing game became stagnant. It allowed Cleveland to have longer possession time of the ball and thus eventually a victory.

Despite the defeat, Captain Alexis Herrera shares her personal insight about their soccer team.

“I am optimistic about the future of the program,” said Alexis Herrera.

Final Score: 1-0
