Battle For Socal Supremacy

November 13, 2017

GIRLS GOLF: The top girl golfers in Socal battle it out for a spot in the state championships.

With their eyes set on the state championships, Van Nuys participated in the Socal Regionals Championship at Canyon Crest Country Club on Thursday, Nov.9.

Van Nuys would be represented by May Nuchit, Kristen Vitolo, Vanesza Hengthanapaibun, and Madison Dulkanchainun. The Wolves had trouble adjusting to the complexity of the course. The course was narrower and placement on the green was crucial. However, the girl golfers had relative success in their tee and iron shots. However they faltered on the green as they miscalculated the slopes and distances to the hole. Ultimately Van Nuys would be unqualified for the state championships.

Top Scores For Van Nuys: May Nuchit (96), Kristen Vitolo (104), Vanesza Hengthanapaibun ( 109), and Madison Dulkanchainun (115).
