GIRLS TENNIS: Sluggish start hinders Van Nuys from winning
The Van Nuys Girls Tennis Team welcomed the San Fernando Tigers to the court on Monday, Oct. 9.
Slow reactions when returning the ball caused the team to fall behind in the match. The Wolves’ serves were strong, but the girls still struggled to keep up with the San Fernando forehand winners. While it was a close battle between both sides, unenforced errors down the stretch affected the outcome of the game.
“Although this was the first league game we lost, we’re not disappointed,” said Varsity Captain Min Kim. “The girls gave it their all and we enjoyed the challenge, now we have to move on and get ready for our next match.”
