Wolves Against the Tigers

With all-around great contributions from the team, Van Nuys bounced back from Friday’s loss against Sylmar.

Tigers Whimper in Defeat to the Wolves

BASKETBALL:With star guard Tyree Winborn scoring 25 points, the Wolves regain momentum after their loss to Sylmar, crushing San Fernando 86-42.


Van Nuys Wolves breezed to another victory against the San Fernando Tigers 86-42 during an away game on Feb. 8.

As the last road game of the regular season, the Wolves led the entire game, going on a 23-7 run in the third quarter.

The Wolves were able to stuff up their stat sheet through this game. Forward Matthew Sykes scored 19 points, as well as 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks, and 3 steals.

Anthony Daniels obtained another double-double, putting up 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Guard and leading league scorer, Tyree Winborn once again led the team in scoring, dropping a total of 25 points.

With an all-around solid performance, Van Nuys bounced back from last Friday’s loss against Sylmar, advancing to a league record of 9-2.

The Wolves will play their final regular season game on Friday, Feb. 10, against the 2-15 Canoga Park Hunters.

NEXT GAME: Canoga Park @ Van Nuys on Friday, Feb. 10. at 7 p.m.
